Don't see anything obvious but looks like it has at least 50-55 mph winds maybe more.

EDIT - TCVG may have shown a brief couplet between Burlington and Oakbrook
Thanks Mike... still some light rain and thunder here but the wind with that cell was pretty intense. Haven't seen wind like that in a while. Nice start to the 2022 storm season!

The boys stating the obvious...

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 AM WEDNESDAY MORNING/...
CWA resides in the warm sector this afternoon. Daytime heating
has allowed for decent destabilization, allowing for scattered
to numerous convection to develop ahead of a cold front which is
still across Indiana. Pockets of higher CAPE at or above 1500
J/kg may be realized, especially ahead of an instability
gradient that may wind up setting up near/east of I-71 later
this afternoon. There is some wind shear in this general area
this afternoon as well, providing organization to the storms.

Initial mode may feature some discrete/supercell type storms
particularly into central and south central Ohio, with all
severe hazard types possible. Otherwise, eventually convection
will likely take on multi-cell cluster/line segment
characteristics, with mainly damaging winds the main threat
although isolated tornadoes could still be possible. The main
severe weather risk will last into early this evening. Storms
will be progressive and therefore the flood risk appears
relatively low, although heavier downpours may produce local
ponding of water.

Ultimately, a cold front will move across the CWA and put an end
to the convection later this evening. Lingering low level
moisture will promote a stratus deck overnight. Lows will fall
into the lower to mid 50s

Do we have time to re-charge? 2000 J/kg exists ahead of the front over East Central IN. Some sun here and temps are warming back up into the low 70s. We'll see if the sun has enough power left to help us. It's only 5pm and sunset isn't until 8:34pm. Gonna be close.

So much for not making a thread for this system eh? The front is coming into the region now. Severe threat is low now. The line from about Dayton on north is still strong looking so it needs to be watched but for everyone else, it is much weaker and more scattered.

We can almost put this system to bed. The front sinks south for a cloudy and cooler day tomorrow in the low to mid 60s. Then the front comes back north as a warm front Thurs. Rain is likely Thurs night, Fri, Fri night and into Sat as the upper low comes right thru the area. I'm not concerned with a severe threat here but with most folks getting 1-2" of rain today, we'll have to see if any localized flooding issues develop with an additional inch possible or more coming with the next multiday event.

Hopefully... a dry and pleasant Mother's Day in the 70s. 80s return early next week
