In case anyone missed it - From the boys:

*11:30 AM UPDATE*

Trends in some of the hi-res models suggest a number of
locations across northern KY and the Scioto Valley could observe
ice accumulations near or just over 0.5" through the afternoon
and early overnight hours. With the higher-end amounts and
combined impact that winds will have on power lines and branches,
have decided to upgrade to an Ice Storm Warning for our
southern/southeastern counties. Please note that transitions to
sleet and snow will still occur after the accumulating ice, but
the ice accretion could cause widespread impacts and therefore
wanted to message the higher impacts with the freezing rain
potential in those counties.

If you loop through the correlation coefficient out of Indy, it really hasn’t moved since 9:30 this morning. It seems it might have drifted northward until 11 and then started dropped south in the past hour but I think it’s wishful thinking as I want some snow.
wasn't that something tim tossed out the other day, that at a certain point you might get stuck on whatever p-type you were for a while? Seems he hit that one on the head too.

The sky is becoming more of a white color so my guess sleet is coming my way. So far its been a very light gray sky which gave me the frz/rain. Should no more in the next few minutes or so.

I wonder if I get more sleet out of this system then last year's. It's going to make a run at it! Heavy sleet here, getting hammered by pingers!

ILN isn't giving up! Released at 12:41. Interesting how the 8-12 has become spotty.

Of course this is not good for them but it may show where the storm is getting stronger and we need this to get somewhat stronger as it heads into the Tn Valley which can help pull some of the cold air further south and east. These are not the kind of training storms that line up west to east and block heavier precip from flowing northward so it will not cut off our moisture supply.

Good thing that Dave left for Naples yesterday.

Can only imagine the situation there at Cincy / N KY Int'l today. ;)
