Back to light frz/rain so the heavier burst was short-lived and still no sleet at all.

NAM has northbound lanes of I71 just needing a little bit of salt, while southbound lanes need to be plowed

I've been all frz rain since about 6am this morning. Only in the last hour or so can you see it building up nicely on the trees and power lines, cars etc. Grass... I'll be stepping outside in the next hour or so on my AM break to take a closer inspection.

CVG already gusting to 30 mph, I don't like the wind with all this frz rain. Not a good situation for NKY. I welcome pingers to be honest. Let's see... my call was to changeover to sleet in the next hour or two. We'll see what happens.

Rain/Freezing rain in Anderson Township. Roads good for right now. Light ice accretion on elevated surfaces. Winds picking up a bit.

Just had to take down my flag off my flag pole. It was frozen straight out!

Sleet is mixing in here but predominantly freezing rain. We need that to switch, and to switch fast or we will have much bigger problems on our hands. Already losing small limbs out front from our Sycamore.

Similar to the high-res NAM (but snowier), the 12z RAP continues to want to give more snowfall to the 275 loop.

I 75 southbound in Dayton closed due to an overturned semi. Will probably be closed for hours. If you know anyone that may be heading that way, let them know. BTW, still sleeting.

Freezing rain here. Grass is crunchy and the puddles from yesterday's rain are starting to freeze over, at least the ones in the yard are. Going to be fun trying to keep the dogs from running out the back door when we let them out. Dog owners, be careful letting your dogs stand still too long when they are outside. A few years ago, in some melting icy snow, our GSP stood still for a while staring at a squirrel and ripped a layer of skin of his pads.

Hearing some sleet now on my home office window Les!!! I'm very anxious for us to turn over to sleet at least and stay there. We don't have anywhere near the staffing to deal with 4,000 wrecked trees in the Arboretum.

Thanks for the heads up- we have to be sure we salt our back stairs or go out on a leash in front- don't need our 13 year old pup to fall and hurt himself.

No problem and we will be doing the same. One of our dogs has three legs and he was already sliding around.

We need this to happen Les. No sleet at all here and the light frz/rain continues
