This is some of the heaviest snow I've seen all winter under this band. It means business! Gorgeous dendrites!

Once again the biggest snow of the season was a sneaky one. Beautiful outside, looks like we got a little over an inch so far.

The grass is almost covered up here. Can just see the tips of them (not counting under a tree... open area only).

Just shy of a dusting in Oxford. Cannot remember the last time we made it through January without an inch of snow.

That was a nice surprise! Boys got a snow day, too. Nice white fluffy scene out the window.
What a beautiful shot
tron777 wrote: Fri Jan 28, 2022 7:42 am Always love your pics, MJ! Pine trees are great snow catchers and always look so nice when it snows. :)

Thanks! That's the Scottish Pine that we got about 12 years ago as a little baby tree. It definitely has had a glow up!

Still have light snow ongoing here... :) Heaviest is now to my east. A gap but another band (smaller) will move thru from Indiana. Another batch over Central IN as well.

Something to watch later this afternoon. If we get that period where the sun comes out for about an hour or so it can juice up the atmosphere enough that a snow shower can overproduce in a short period of time. Those kind of snow showers are the ones that can really mess up traffic.

Lapse rates being steep are critical to this. 6 to 6.5C currently. Want to see that near 8 + if possible. Current snow squall parameter from SPC.
