Should the towel be thrown on this storm for us? It looks to me that the GFS has more friends on its side compared to the NAM. On to the next one.

Well, my teacher friends were hoping for a snow day, but that's not going to happen in Grant County. Oh well, maybe we will cash in another time.

42 degrees here in Williamstown, but I know it's a comin'!

I went with 2-4 inches for Grant-Owen-on north to the Ohio River on Facebook and 1-3 south of Grant County. It may not end up that way, but me and the hounds are sticking with it.

The hounds are thinking the same way, although our map is a general 2-4" for the N. Ky. area.

The hounds have went nuts and posted it's going to snow on Facebook, but they are mute when comes to totals. The cold and wind is going to make this a rough time no matter what amount we get.

Me and the hounds are excited about the potential for the cold air showing up around Christmas. Hoping we get some snow to go with it. Being so far out though, the models are going to change a lot. It will be fun to track though!

I know there are more model runs between now and the event, but I really hope it goes more south so we can get out of the ice zone, or at least not as much.

I am very concerned in my neck of the woods. Being south of the metro, I hope we are north enough for snow or south enough for plain rain. It will become clear in a few days.

The sleet/snow/freezing rain (not much but enough) that we have received is freezing on concrete and asphalt, so the salt has come out to go out in the driveway.

Unless we get some bands of snow later, I think we will be lucky to get an inch in Williamstown.

We have a wintery mix here in Williamstown, Ky. It is a light snow/sleet mix that has made the road wet, but no issues.

The dogs are going with 1-3 for my neck of the woods, with less to the north and more to the south.

It's so frustrating to see the snow going to central and eastern Ky., while in Northern Ky. we get the shaft.

Marc Weinberg from WDRB in Louisville is tweeting that the GFS is showing massive southerly flow 925 mb to 600 mb and that means the GFS is going to be wrong on precipitation type over a chunk of its snow area. Why? Because the southerly flow will warm mid level temps notably more than the model say...

The dogs agree with you Les. They are holding out for 3" for southern Grant County, but the rest is in line.

The dogs are definitely barking after seeing those maps, I am holding their leashes another day or so before posting on my page.
