Very light flakes right now in Williamstown. Hoping it will ramp up soon or the hounds prediction will bust.

So far, no snow at Manis Weather Team headquarters, but since me and wife did some work outside, I'm sure it will hit in Williamstown LOL.

Re: Pack Refresher Storm - Jan 10-11th

The hounds are ready for Winter Storm 2: Electric Boogaloo. They are sticking with 2-5 for the Northern Ky. area, although they think the 5 will be isolated areas.

Re: Pack Refresher Storm - Jan 10-11th

I work for Grant County Schools. We had Monday off as a snow day, and NTI so far with us working at home, having office hours for students on Google classroom. I just got dug out today from all the snow and many backroads are just now getting attention. Rural districts do have it bad and with the ...

Re: January 5-6th, 2025 First Legit Winter Storm of the Season

Hi all. Even though it still looks like I will get some freezing rain in my area, the amount looks to have lessened based on the various models. I can handle more to .10-.25 than the .50. I guess we shall see. Snow total looks to be 4-8 inches.

Re: January 5-6th, 2025 First Legit Winter Storm of the Season

Where I live, it looks like we are going to get a lot of freezing rain between the initial snow and back end snow. Time to get the ice chopper and pain killers ready.

Re: January 5-6th, 2025 First Legit Winter Storm of the Season

Since I am south of everybody in Williamstown, I am highly concerned about the mixing line. Snow is one thing, freezing rain you can't do anything with.

Should the towel be thrown on this storm for us? It looks to me that the GFS has more friends on its side compared to the NAM. On to the next one.

Re: I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas 2022

I went with 2-4 inches for Grant-Owen-on north to the Ohio River on Facebook and 1-3 south of Grant County. It may not end up that way, but me and the hounds are sticking with it.

Re: I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas 2022

The hounds have went nuts and posted it's going to snow on Facebook, but they are mute when comes to totals. The cold and wind is going to make this a rough time no matter what amount we get.

Me and the hounds are excited about the potential for the cold air showing up around Christmas. Hoping we get some snow to go with it. Being so far out though, the models are going to change a lot. It will be fun to track though!

I know there are more model runs between now and the event, but I really hope it goes more south so we can get out of the ice zone, or at least not as much.

Re: Kitchen Sink Storm Feb 2-4, 2022

I am very concerned in my neck of the woods. Being south of the metro, I hope we are north enough for snow or south enough for plain rain. It will become clear in a few days.
