Glad to see the icicles have stopped dripping and its entirely sleet now. Trees are definitely sagging, and we certainly don't need any more ice accumulating on them with winds picking up.

Hearing some sleet now on my home office window Les!!! I'm very anxious for us to turn over to sleet at least and stay there. We don't have anywhere near the staffing to deal with 4,000 wrecked trees in the Arboretum.

Watching the band to our SW in areas that are roughly in the same precip totals bands according to the models as us (areas just east of Louisville). Terminal Doppler radars out of L-ville and CVG have definitely lit up with returns recently. Hopefully that gets pulled up into our area eventually. 23...

It hit 10 degrees this morning so far out at the Arboretum, seeing some -2 to -3 lows in western / central KY.

It's trying to whiten the mulch around the trees and shrubs in the landscape of the Arboretum, sticking to the roadways where there were shadows. Camp Ernst Road still clear / wet. I guess they must have pre-treated with something, but I never recall seeing any lines from brine.

Seeing some light flurry action outside the window now at the Arboretum... just NW of Union, KY.
