fine flakes in green township/dent area

snow has started in green township

ILN's tweet at 1:10pm is still calling for 4-6" along and NW of 71.

I literally just threw salt from my garage out onto the driveway. We'll see how that goes.

The sidewalks are going to have to wait. Man, that was like 2 hours of work.

yep - had some great snow for a while and now back to the sleet. it’s gotta change over all the way soon.

YEP! heavy snow in dent/green township. it’s about time!

i think the snow may win out this time. we’ve been a mix to sleet to mix to sleet. now a mix again and the flakes seem to be taking over. we’ll see!

agreed. stinking sleet just doesn’t want to give in yet.

it’s trying to change over in green township. seeing a few bigger flakes joining in the fun. hopefully not much longer

Can confirm this, Les. We are at the 275/74 interchange and it is mixing...

Definite mix in Dent/Green Township. More snow mixing in, but still more sleet.

Cincinnati Public has called off tomorrow....

When I was out earlier, I shoveled about a 1/2" of sleet. Looking out at my crazy kids "sledding" down the driveway, I'd say we have that much or even more again. At least 1" of sleet so far. It's coming down heavy now, some tiny flakes mixing in.

checked on my salt outside - if you plan to do that, don’t waste your time and salt. it’s done absolutely nothing.

i went out a bit ago. about 1/2 inch of sleet and some slush underneath. laid down some salt after i was done. probably a fruitless effort, but i guess it can’t hurt.

Remember, too, that we have about 24 more hours of precipitation to go. That moisture feed is unreal. It will be cool to see how things turn out with this one. At least we weren't surprised by the WAA this time!
