I went from 1-3” snow to 3-7” of sleet/snow

My TWC app forecast now says "8-12 inches of snow and ice" overnight and into tomorrow and then "Snow accumulating 1-3 inches" tomorrow night. Yikes, no wonder Jim C is on his way.

18z GFS has all snow in Hamilton County at 1:00 tomorrow afternoon....

Lots of districts are or will be "making the call" for sure. I'll be doing that at my school later this afternoon.
My wife is an outpatient OT at St. E's in Edgewood and they were told that they would be closed tomorrow.

You can certainly see where the rain/snow line is!

Untrained eye says 18z GFS has a little longer period of sleet than 12z, but there is still a changeover to snow Thursday evening with more on the way....

My concern is looking at things historically. How often does the cold air win out in these overriding events in our area? More often than not the warm air is undermodeled. If I where guessing I would say the southern extent of the snowfall accumulations will be cut down by the warm air. I really ho...

By 7pm Thursday all snow for the metro....

It would only stand to reason that, with the Bengals winning an improbable game last night, that we would get an epic storm the same week. It's freaking karma....

A little flurry action in Cheviot

Nice storm just rolled through the west side. Hail, gusty winds, etc. Rained for about 15 minutes.
