Did You Like Having a Separate Thread for Individual Storm Systems?

Post by tron777 »

I am taking a poll to see if you all like having bigger ticket items, or individual storm system threads broken out from the main monthly threads, or do you like the usual way we've been doing it in the monthly thread itself? Please vote Yes or No. You can post comments in this thread if you'd like. Thanks!

It's a good idea to focus comments on the big event while keeping the monthly thread for forecasting and longer range discussions.

I'd like to see more feedback on this Bo but so far, for those who have voted and commented... that seems to be a very logical direction. :)

I think it is a good idea to keep the bigger events separated. That way the monthly thread can be focused on other possible events and not get lost in the main event that may be happening at the time.

Thanks JP for your input. So far, this is the direction we will be going. I have yet to see anyone against the idea.

Folks,

So far we have received a total of 9 yes votes and zero no votes. So whenever we have a flooding event or major heavy rain event, severe wx, wintry weather, etc. You (or me doesn't matter) can make a separate thread for the event. We won't do this for every single weather system just the major ones that look like they could have a significant impact on our region. Monthly threads will continue to be used for model analysis, long range talk, and minor systems like we have been doing.

Thanks to you all for making AV one of the best places to talk weather in the Ohio Valley! :)
