I figured it was time to get this year's MLB thread started since Spring Training games are going on. Opening Day for the Reds will be on Thursday, March 28th with a 4:10pm start time against the Nationals. For My Tigers, we will start on the road again this year on 3/28 against the White Sox. then we go see the Mets April 1-3rd. Our Home Opening Day will be played on April 5th and will feature a showdown between the Tigers and A's. Good luck to both clubs this year! Hopefully My Tigers will play better this year and will actually get above 500, although I wouldn't bet on it.

Noelvi Marte's 80-game suspension for PED use likely means more time at the hot corner for the veteran Candelario, who signed a three-year, $45 million contract in the offseason, than originally forecast. Candelario started 115 games at third for the Nationals and Cubs in 2023.

Jeimer Candelario was a former Tiger. Played great for us, a good hitter that can get on base. He used to have some speed for a base stealer too.

Newbie Redleg Frankie Montas takes on Josiah Gray at 4:10 Thurs.

Tigers begin the 2024 season on the road against the White Sox. 4:10pm Thursday is first pitch. Tarik Skubal will get our season started!

The guys killed the Nats 8-2! Newbie starting pitcher Frankie Montas did a great job and newbie outfielder Nick Martini e.g. also did great with a couple homers including a 3-run one. Even though its only been 1 game so far, both Montas and Martini e.g. look very promising.

A day off Good Fri and then Hunter Greene takes on Patrick Corbin at 4:10 Sat.

Tigers also won yesterday 1-0. Off today then we continue with the Shite Sox tomorrow at 2:10pm with Kenta Maeda.

The guys got edged 7-6. Closer Alexis Diaz wiped out in the 8th inning.

Newbie Nick Martinez squares away vs Jake Irvin in the rubber match at 1:40 Easter Sun.

Tigers win in 10 innings 7-6. We have a chance to sweep the White Sox today at 2:10pm with Jack Flaherty.

The guys took 2 out of 3 for a series win over the Nats as they edged 'em 6-5! Will Benson got a 2 run homer and Christian Encarnacion-Strand a single homer to seal the deal!

Next is a 3 games mini road trip vs the Phillies. Andrew Abbott takes on Cristopher Sanchez at 6:40 Mon.
