Yeah... we're on the board with a hundredth or two. I'm sure glad I got those leaves mulched yesterday. I worked on them until I couldn't see anymore.

It looks like we have one more band of light rain to move thru then that should be about it for today. Clearing skies are noted back across ILL and SW IN and that will be in here for this afternoon to boost us into the mid 70s for our high temp.

12Z GFS has the better rains now over us like the Euro did yesterday. 12Z Canadian has about 1.5" for us with 2"+ NW of Cincinnati. I think a lot of us stand the chance at getting an inch plus with this system should the front stall on top of us which is what is now being suggested by the guidance. The 12Z NAM has 1 to 1.5" of rain for the Tri-state on Northward as well.

Stepped outside and it feels like a humid spring day with the sun, 70 degrees and the wet sidewalks. Picked up .21 so far for the day!

You certainly can feel those lower 60 degree dews. 8-)

EDIT: Dew now up to 65 at CVG. Actual temp is 73.

Not a lot of change from the 12Z Euro. Most AV posters get a good 1"+ soaking. Isolated 1.5" amounts in a few pockets as well.

73 at CVG today, 74 here. Still sitting at 71 as of this post. Watching a line of t-storms back across Central ILL. Whatever is left from it could be our late tonight / AM rain chance tomorrow. I still expect a lot of dry hours too until the main rain threat finally moves in sometime late Sat or Sat night. As previously stated, Sunday is a wash out of a day. Good day to drink beer, watch football and post on AV. ;)

Good Evening and a brisk 39 with a windchill of 29. This finally feels like winter and yes the local area will get a nice dose and it feel cold but wonderful. Have not moved the totals up but the higher end close to an inch seems more and more likely.

My rain gauge is somewhere in our post-move mess in the garage. I can't even begin to wonder where it is there. ;)

May have to sit out on measuring this next system, too. Oh well ...

Currently 64 here in G'ville and progged for around 52 early Sat morning.

Good morning all! The front just slipped thru CVG as winds are gusty out of the north and temps have fallen from the mid 60s down to 61. After this batch of light rain moves out, we will be dry for a while until the next low moves up along the front to bring us more rainfall (some heavy at times) by tonight into tomorrow morning. A short break then the last low moves thru Sunday evening ending Mon morning.

9am totals:

CVG - 0.11"
Me - 0.13"
Boone Co mesonet - 0.14"

Temps should hold steady in the lower 60s today then drop a few degrees tonight into the mid and UJ50s. Our high tomorrow struggles to hit 60 degrees then we fall on into the 40s Sun night and stay there all day Monday. Halloween is still cold and dry with highs in the mid 40s. Temps for the kiddies for the Cincy area:

6pm Low 40s
7pm Near 40
8pm U30s

Concerning the rain over the next 48 hours and yes widely scattered today. Overnight especially closer to morning will be the first round and then a second wave later Sunday. Still going with .5-1.0 but have no doubt moved closer to the 1 inch range. Like most systems some folks may get a little less and some a little more. The most likely folks to get more will probably be to the west in southern Indiana and folks to get less east of CVG. Again until the rain starts hard to exactly pinpoint totals. I know some models were heading towards the 2 inch mark and that will be less common though a location that gets hit hard with both waves could end up with that much but I believe that will not be the norm. No matter what the rain will help in the drought department and quite a bit of folks with drought conditions are getting in on the rain whether it was this past week in Wisconsin and in the future for us and folks in Texas. Will it be enough to end the drought conditions and here in Wisconsin no doubt but locally and in Texas probably not enough but always good to see the rain come in before winter because heavy rains in the winter can cause problems if the ground is frozen and much of it drains off instead of soaking into the ground.

I do not think that this will be enough rain to end the drought here locally, but it could change the drought category. Instead of D1 hopefully back towards D0.
