Well, Grandpa Woolly has been thinking about this whilst moving around the woodpile. The ol hickory didn't bear many nuts this year was the first sign I considered. The squirrels have been somewhat busy and the deer movement has been nil till after the Hunter's moon. Mrs. Woolly has put up a bumper crop of pears this year. So, my doodads and sticks are sayin we should get a snow that qualifies on:
December 11
Annual amount of 24.125"

Anybody have any data on what the latest measurable snowfall has been for Cincy, Dayton and Columbus? Grandma Wooly can't find our records here at the woodpile.

Check this out... 82-83 was a Super El Nino as was 2015-2016. Not sure about 1940-1941, but it would not surprise me.

I graduated high school in 1982 and my Dad and Pete Rose were born just 1 month apart in 1941. :)

Columbus and Dayton are both in the books with a tenth of an inch, .01 inches, of snow for the year. This Monday looks to be a decent shot for Cincy to get on the board.

If it does accumulate at CVG on the 18th Bgoney would win as he guessed 12/22.

CVG recorded a trace for 1/12/24 so we are still at 0.9" on the season. We should tack on a few tenths though over the next several days I would imagine.
