Canning fruits and vegetables

Post by Bgoney »

Making a batch of strawberry jam/jelly early this morning. I only use 2 cups of sugar for 6 pounds of strawberries. Recipes call for triple + that amount which I have never understood. It's plenty sweet with two. In fact I can't even eat store bought jelly it taste so sweet it makes me sick to my stomach

Man that looks awesome! I had some Amish made apple pie jam this morning that was delicious! Tasted like a real slice of pie with cinnamon and everything. I love strawberry too, as you have pictured above!
