BUFKIT says 9" for CVG. IF GFS even remotely agrees,. we may need to bump 'er up a touch. :)

Thanks for answering that Les. I am only smart enough to know that we would like to see the dewpoint go up and the temp come down. I get it but not like you do!! :D

No.. that just means 100% of saturation. every storm is different. DP in the lower 20s would be nice.

I think the NAM is the right way to go folks. It might be beginning to pick up on that vigoreous ULL that continues to drop South and not so much SE as originally progged.

Water vapor loop looks great. It's starting to pick up GoM moisture.

IMPORTANT UPDATE
Image
Note the ULL diving SOUTH as opposed to SE (spin over E NE/W IA). If this continues, expect changes in the forecast to include more snow as the best moisture/lift would be right over us for the second portion of the storm (additional 3-5" as opposed to 1-3" tomorrow night). WATCH THIS!

Thanks for allowing me to join. I came from over there, too. You guys seem way more friendly on this forum. I was usually too shy to ask many questions. It felt like walking on 'pins and needles' over there at times. And honestly, I think Rich can be a little too quick to jump on someone's opinion if it doesn't meet his own standards. I lurked and posted off and on for a few years, but since the main players are jumping ship, I thought I would join this forum. I can't contribute much weather wise, but I like to learn and I love snow....so there you go. I will post in the introduction area later. Need to get my '24' fix first. :)

We're glad your here. Don't worry about not knowing much weather-wise, Leslie. Everyone has something to bring to the table here. Even if it's as simple as reporting what is going on in your backyard, it's still important- it's a surface observation.

Look through the topics. They range from sports, to paranormal, to songs and poems. I'm sure that you have knowledge or experience that will help someone here.
