Post Spotter Training and Advanced Class
Just a reminder that NWS spotter training is ongoing. There is a class in Hamilton County tonight at 7:00pm. It's at the Nathanael Greene Lodge in Green Township at 6394 Wesselman Road. There is another class in Hamilton County on Friday, March 26, at 7:00pm. It's at the Red Cross building at 10870 Kenwood Road. See the entire Wilmington NWS spotter class schedule at http://www.weather.gov/iln/training.php.

Also, today we are able to announce that on Saturday April 10, 2010 the Wilmington NWS office will present an advanced spotter training course hosted by the Weather Amateur Radio Network (WARN). The exact content of the course is just being finalized, now that we know we have a facility and how long the class will be. For more information on this course, see http://www.warn.org/advanced/. Initial details are listed there so you can mark your calendar. Complete details will be added shortly.

ILN teaches one of these courses each year somewhere in their CWA, and it moves around between Dayton, Columbus and Cincinnati. This year it will be in the Cincinnati area. It was last in this area in 2007 and will probably be a few years until it returns. The content changes each time, and they usually include something topical about recent weather events.

Man, that truly stinks! :( I can sympathize with you, bro, as I had like 3 or 4 extracted at the same time several years ago when I lived in Hamilton.

Oh c'mon. I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled at the same time. Two were impacted and had to be surgically removed. I ate a spaghetti dinner later that day (cooked until it was very soft) and was back to full activity the next day. Don't let that stop you!

Of course, if you are of age, I guess you could always use it as an excuse to lay around for a few days drinking beer! I can appreciate the beauty in that too.

;)
