CLIPPER COMING... NORTHEAST HAS THE BEST CHANCE FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOWS...

The clipper is a small, tight system that has occasional burst of moderate snow along the north of of it. The operational models suggest that the head of the systems moves right up along the Ohio River toward western PA the next 24 hours. This will put areas just north of the Ohio river in the 3-6 inch range. Now, I know that some of the local Mets are going 9-10 inches, but to me, it's just a clipper with the top end of 6 inches.

The clipper tries to intensify heading across New England and that's where we will find some of the 6 inches, perhaps 8 inch amounts. It does look like the timing of the clipper through the big cities is during the late afternoon which means rain may mix in keeping amounts down. Again, I am not playing this storm as any major snow event, but just your normal clipper with a narrow swath of snow.
