Given that SEW is going offline shortly, let any of your friends on there (who aren't signing up for W3) know about AV. We've been discussing this in the Members Only area at the bottom of this page. I know many over there are winter season posters or are on vacation, and may not know about the changes taking place and then when time comes to get active again, they are left out. We don't want that to happen, as we have always enjoyed talking with everyone over there. Let's all make an effort to get the gang back together (again, that goes for anyone NOT signing up for W3, but rather people who decided against it) here at AV in time for the fun seasonal changes we have in store!

:bump:

Bumping this thread as I'd like to see some more folks sign up for the forum. I am trying, since I keep posting the link to the forum on Facebook from time to time. ;) I don't know if it's helping or not, but I am trying. I'd also like to see more LIKES on our A/V Facebook Page too. I think we're up to 91 or something. It would be nice to break 100. For total members, we are up to 275 on here and that would be nice to break the 300 mark.

It's going to be a fun and exciting winter for those of you who have been keeping up with the posts on here, and I'd like to see an increase in membership so folks will be ready for the cold season.

My challenge to all of you is to let your family and friends know about your forum. As a member, you already know about our fun and friendly atmosphere that we try to maintain. You also know about the extensive Off Topic Section that we have so people can discuss non weather related items. You already know that you do not have to be a weather geek or be very knowledgeable about the weather here. And finally, you already should know that we do answer questions for those wanting to learn something.

I want to thank everyone for their continued support and participation here at A/V! Without you, it would be just me posting by myself along with a handful of other people like it used to be. The Admin Team and myself are very grateful that you're here and we would like to see more folks join in the fun with us!

Thanks for reading this post and I hope to see some new faces on here in the future. Thanks again to everyone for your membership and loyalty to our forum. If you want to see changes made to the board, add things, delete things, re-organize things, let the Admins know!

Sincerely,

Les

The W3 Network is a pay forum along with some other things in our area. Formally known as Skyeye Weather when it was free, that is why there are a lot of people here now. :)

I can reset her PW, but cannot msg her the new password from the office. Unfortunately, I will have to let one of the other Admins assist her with this.

Admins:

I have reset Angelika's password.
Hopefully, her Gmail email address that I have is still good and she gets my email that contains her new password. :P

EDIT: Issue should now be resolved.

TY, Les  Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I would have got it, since you can't access FB at work ;)

A message to all forum members:

We're up over 130 Likes on our Facebook Page now and current forum membership stands at 399. Who will become our 400th member? Can we get above the 500 mark? That is my goal by next winter, to crack the 500 member mark.

We are primarily an Ohio Valley forum of course, since most of us reside in this area. However, I challenge all of you to see what we can do to gain more membership in our region as well as outside of our region. The subforums are there in the General Weather area so that more detailed and regional weather discussions can take place. I know many of those subforums are not used a lot right now and that is to be expected since as I just said, most of our members are in the Ohio Valley.

Here at A/V, we welcome all members from across the country to join in the fun that we have around here. Let's get some folks who forecast for other parts of the country on here. If you know of family and friends that are in the OV as well as outside of the OV, let them know about us. Just because winter is over, that does not mean that we need to stop growing. We need to continue to grow! Severe weather season is upon us so there will always be something on here to talk about even if the OV's weather is tranquil. Don't forget hurricane season also this summer as well as Spring and Summer long range outlooks.

There is something for everyone here since we have an awesome Off Topic area for folks who do not wish to discuss the weather. As always, let an Admin or a Mod know if you have problems, questions, or suggestions for our forum. We have improved A/V a lot in the past few months with little enhancements and I am sure that more will be added in the future.

Thanks to everyone who has been a member here and also a big thanks if you have recommended that someone join A/V. Word of mouth is always KEY to making a forum successful. We've had our up's and down's this past winter season as well as some unneeded drama. However, those issues have been resolved and we can put all of that behind us and focus our attention on the future.

Thanks for reading!

I just love this site, it's the only place I can get excited about storms and not get laughed at.
I ain't dancin' yet but the music is on. I'm waiting for more northern track to Warren.
Les, it sounds like you should be dancin'.

HB Les. This weather blows, getting behind in work and it takes forever to get back on schedule. Need a prolonged dry spell, couple weeks would be nice.

By the way the forecast looks for later next week into the beginning of the week of May 14th (Mother's Day) ...I'm hoping that part of the week won't be a rainy, raw, chilly cut off low scenario for Virginia Beach! Watch it start clearing out by Fri the 19th when my folks and I start heading back home! ;)
