Event total here was 1.39". Sitting at 42 now. Honestly the best storm in my hood yesterday was the one that hit earlier in the morning with 50+ mph winds and lots of lightning. Most of the afternoon storms missed to my south.

No TOR warnings are in effect as of this post thankfully. Yeah, you guys were right. That second round helped to keep things more "tame" then what otherwise could have been. We would have had a huge outbreak if that second round did not occur before I left work. That saved us. Agree 100% ...

Mini derecho across WV blasted through Charleston knocking out the weather cams. Saw a gust to 59 mph at KCRW. 92 mph at KHTS earlier.

So not sure if it was at KHTS - but saw report of 92 mph wind gust in Ceredo WV (just west of Huntington).

Seeing clearing off to the western horizon here.

Also still in the 15% hatched tornado prob for this afternoon.

New 13z SPC day 1 outlook is in! No changes for us - still MOD risk. Looks like the ENH risk was shifted back to the west a bit in Indiana.

Anyone see the 03z SREF SigTor probs for this afternoon? Big ole 75% band from Cincy down to Nashville with 60% up to I-70.

Current temp here is 56 - total rainfall thus far 1.21" and still coming down lightly.

Check out the extremes - 70 in Lexington and 42 in Ft Wayne! Dynamic system indeed!

Had a nice loud gusty storm a couple hours ago...now just a moderate rain.

I really hope we can keep this rain around longer because with the dynamics and parameters in place today, any bout of sunshine will spell big trouble this afternoon. Stay weather aware!!!

06z HRRR came in really aggressive as well for tomorrow matching the NAM. If these trends continue that ENH will need to be tugged north, and maybe even a MDT introduced for some areas. If that were to happen it would be in an update tomorrow. So not a good day for me to be super busy at work! LOL ...

Wonder where Ohio will stand on the tornado count for 2024 YTD after the surveys are done? I know I saw a list somewhere that had us in the top 5. Definitely an active start to the season!
